Jalen Montez Duren is an American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association.
Duren played college basketball for the Memphis Tigers.He was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2021 class.He was ranked as the top player in the 2022 class before reclassifying.
Duren, along with AAU teammate and highly regarded player Justice Williams, has committed to play high school basketball at Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Duren grew up playing football, baseball, and basketball, which he eventually focused on as he matured and refined his talents.
After graduating from high school, Jalen accepted a scholarship offer from the University of Memphis. Duren’s play with the Memphis Tigers was equally as astounding as his achievement in school. In a game against Western Kentucky in November, he gave up 19 points while pulling down 19 rebounds. The Memphis basketball team finally made it to the NCAA tournament that year thanks to Duren.
