Anderson Hays Cooper is an American broadcast journalist and political commentator currently anchoring for the CNN news broadcast show Anderson Cooper 360.
Cooper works as a correspondent for CBS News’ 60 Minutes in addition to his job at CNN. He began traversing the world after graduating from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1989, taking video of war-torn places for Channel One News.
He was first hired by the ABC News as a correspondent in 1995 but soon took more jobs throughout the network.In 2001 he joined CNN where he has his own show Anderson Cooper 360 in 2003 and has remained the host since.
Anderson gained recognition reporting of breaking news events with coverage of Hurricane Katrina causing his popularity to increase.Cooper received a National Order of Honour and Merit by the Haitian government.
