Andre Hugh Sutherland (Popcaan) is a jamaican singer.In 2008 Popcaan joined Vybz Kartel’s Gaza Music Empire and they released his breakthrough hit Clarks with Vybz Kartel.
In 2013 he signed with Mixpak Records and realeased his studio album Where We Come From.He later signed with Canadian rapper Drake’s record label OVO sound and Warner Records.
Andre was born in Saint Thomas Parish,Jamaica and grew up in Portmore.His Childhood was rough because he was raised in a housing scheme.He was forced to stop attending school due to street drama sorrounding his Town
He got his stage name Popcaan from Scumpy who sadly died to street violence in portmore.He has collaborated with a number of international artist most notably Drake,Wale ,Burna Boy ,Davido among others.
