Toufik Benedictus “Benny “Hinn is an Israeli, evangelist ,teacher, and the author of best-selling books including Good morning, Holy Spirit, Prayer That Gets Results, Blood in the sand and Lamb of God. Who was born in American-Canadian televangelist, he is best known for his regular “miracle Crusades” or revival meeting summits that are usually held in stadiums in major cities, which are later broadcast worldwide on his television program, This Is Your Day.
Hinn was born in Jaffa, in the newly established state of Israel. He was raised in the Eastern Orthodox tradition and baptized by the patriarch of Jerusalem. In 1968 Hinn’s Family emigrated to Toronto because of the six-day War where he attended Georges Vanier Secondary School. He did not graduate. Hinn as an author in his book he states that his father was the mayor of Jaffa at the time of his birth and that he was socially isolated as a child and had a stutter, an he was a first-class student.
In February 1972,At the age of 20,Salvation would come calling and Hinn surrendered his life to Jesus Christ with his high school friends who prayed with him. On 21 December 1973, he traveled from to Toronto to Pittsburgh to attend a “miracle service” conducted by evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman he never met her personally, he often cited her as influence in his life. In 1974 he went to Trinity Pentecostal church in Oshawa to speak about his Spiritual experience and claimed to have been cured of his stuttering. His ministry work with my Father’s House children’s homes in Mexico and Asia, as well as with feeding programs, crisis, relief and hospital care.
Hinn preached the Gospel face to face and through television to more than billion of people. His ministry has provided food, clothing, shelter, education and religious training for thousand around the globe. Hinn continues to take the message of God’s life-saving and miracle-working power.
